One More Reason to Love the Pinny Drop Down
    As I'm sure you know,

games at 1 or 1.5 often have an alternative spread at "pk" that can be up to 5c better (or worse) than the posted ML.

    Don't forget to do this extra in-store shopping . . .

Jay, I do not come to SBR looking for quality, helpful posts such as this one. In your future posting, could you please try to dumb it down and add in some iconic words like **** and shit; maybe tie it all together with a personal attack?

I used to sometimes find a better "pick" line in the drop down menu than the moneyline, but it has been ages since that happened. I was beginning to think Pinnacle had adjusted their program so it doesn't happen any more. It sounds like you are saying this is not the case.

I will keep checking. Thanks for posting.

I think that the ML and ATS lines are under different controls and so it's something that they have to check for and adjust manually.

I have no real idea -- that's just a guess.

Was prompted to post because for a while this morning the Bucks were -104 on the ML and +101 at "pk" on the ATS side. Now they've been brought into sync.

I suppose my original post should not say "often" but should say "sometimes, at least for a while."

A technical wagering expert in Eastern Europe informed me that the Jazz were considerably out of sync for a while last night, also. To the tune of -106 (ATS pick) versus -113 (ML).

So Jay is absolutely right, keep your eyes open because Pinnacle does keep these lines independant based on the action they're receiving. Overnight is typically when you'll see the disparity as the daylight seems to bring liquidity to the market. Some people have been known to occasionally find a positive scalp between the spread and ML offerings within Pinnacle.

the EE expert told me that this kind of in-store shopping is often found at betting on tennis winners, bets on exact series results/advances, alt. hcps/props etc. etc.

this expert says that if you find this bet after many mins spended on finding, take the lower odd and max it out, because only this is the way how to feel like a GAMBLER (and you will make the expert happy btw)

I wonder why this would make the expert happy?

that's very important to note Jay...sometimes the ML will pay better, but sometimes the PK option will...I definitely always check that...
