Even if they do vote for it, it could be a while before they figure out how to move forward with paying us (or not paying us).Comment -

So if you ask me, that shareholders meeting is a load of crap. Just a way to buy time.Well, the 15th is the day the shareholders vote. However, that doesn't mean we'll know what happens to our funds...especially if, for some strange reason, the shareholders vote against the deal .

Geez, couple of pessimistic posts. I'm under the impression we'll get our funds...apparently you guys are questioning it.Comment -

#5What WWTS says has no significance anymore. They're full of it. Shareholders meeting on the 15th means funds were frozen for a month, probably resulting in a nice little interest earned.
I'm not pessimistic. Bodog should handle the financial part in a professional manner.Comment -

#6bodog and betcorp both know that players are angry and desperate to get our money out at this point. SO the question remains, what will they do to insure that after the sale is complete, to prevent a run on the bank. It wouldn't surprise me if some rollover was imposed.Comment -

Shareholders meetings are abotu big picture things, not day to day details. They will address the sale to Bodog.
Once they agree to the deal, that doesn't mean well get paid right away. They aren't going to vote on that. That "little detail" may be addresss by Bodog, once they officially take over the site, and the transition from Betcorp to Bodog may take some time.Comment -

#10Ahhhhhhhhhhhh looking at a FAT Bodog account.
If you already had a Bodog account, then Neteller won't work on the new one yet. They said security will combine accounts in the next 24 hours.
Feels good though!

#14I have a BetBet and a WWTS account. As of today I can log into both, and there they give a new Bodog account number and password and state that that’s where my funds now are.
I logged into Bodog with both those account numbers and passwords. Each time I got an error message saying the account is disabled.
So anyway, I called Bodog and this is what I’ve got:
1. Ultimately all accounts—your original Bodog account if you had one, and all transferred accounts from the books under the Betcorp umbrella—will be consolidated into one account. This should take between 24 and 48 hours.
2. Until that consolidation is complete, your Betcorp transfer accounts will be disabled.
3. There is no rollover or other restrictions on your funds that have come over from Betcorp books. The transferred funds will be treated just like any other funds in your Bodog account. You can bet with them, withdraw them, whatever you want. Usual Bodog rules apply on transactions, which among other things means they pick up the fees on all Neteller withdrawals.
4. All pending bets will transfer over intact. They’ll be treated the same as if you’d placed those bets at Bodog at the time.
5. She was less certain about a bonus for the transferred funds. Her understanding was that 10% is being added to the transferred funds only for new customers—people who did not already have a Bodog account. But she said that was only probably the case, that it was possible she was mistaken and either all accounts are getting the 10% or that they’re still deciding. (I didn’t ask about conditions for the bonus. Presumably those new customers—unless they choose to turn down the bonus—will have the same rollover they would if they’d simply opened a Bodog account today and deposited funds into it. But that’s just a guess.)
6. As far as she knows, there will be no e-mail notification sent out when the consolidation of accounts is complete and your funds are available. You’ll just need to log into your account periodically to check if it’s done yet. If you don’t see it done in the next 48 hours or so though, you might want to drop them a call to see if there’s been a delay.
7. If you really are desperate for those funds, you might even be able to speed the process up a bit. When I got through talking with her, she said she’d be sure and pass my account numbers along and let them know I’d inquired about the accounts and would like the consolidation on mine done as soon as possible. I’m not sure that that actually changes the order in which they’re going to adjust the accounts, but that was the implication—that if you call, you can move up in line.
So basically all very encouraging stuff. If this plays out as she specified, I’d have to say a big “Thanks!” and “Well done!” to Bodog (and to Betcorp an “OK, you’re not nearly as crooked as if you’d simply stolen all the money permanently, but bad, bad job handling this whole mess.”).Comment -

#15Not sure what others are experiencing, but I suggest checking your accounts carefully to see if they’re above or below what you expect to be in there, and calling Bodog if you have any questions or if for some reason the transfer for you has not been completed yet. I’ve called them three or four times in the last two days, and they have been consistently nice and helpful.
I wouldn’t say the transfer of my funds has all run smoothly, but I have no complaints because the surprises and discrepancies have worked out in my favor. Multiple times now the balance in my account has been bumped up by small amounts, and when I call to alert them that they may have made a mistake, they explain where the money came from (sometimes plausibly and sometimes in a way that leaves me believing they’re in error) and tell me it’s mine to keep.
So I have a decent amount more than I expected to have, but if that can happen then I assume the reverse is at least as likely. So make sure to monitor what happens with your money.
Just as one example, on separate calls I’ve now been told that:
1. The 10% bonus is only for new Bodog customers.
2. The 10% bonus is for all customers but if you had accounts at multiple Betcorp books is only good on the first one that transfers over.
3. The 10% bonus is for all customers and if you had accounts at multiple Betcorp books it is good for all of them.
So the situation is fluid and ambiguous enough that if you don’t get the bonus, it’s worth a call to at least see if they’ll add it in for you.Comment -
