Okay coming back once is fine, but then twice, and now a third time. I mean if he wants to play he doesn't need to retire and have this tearful last speech only to come back time after time after time.

the guy was a top qb 11 weeks in last year. gets hurt, the jets dont have anyone who can complete a 3yd pass to back him up so he has to play. jets defense falls apart and puts huge pressure on a hurt old guy to force the issue. good luck with that. i dislike all the attention, but dont hate on the guy, its not his fault. still a top 10qb with top 10 arm strength when healthy imo.

Bingo. Blaming the Jets late season meltdown 100% on Favre is just stupid. Were the first 11 games 100% due to him that they were sitting at #2 in the AFC? It's a team game. Teams win, teams lose. Favre wasn't the only reason the Jets melted down, it was a team effort.

If Favre joins the Vikings, nobody can tell me that he's worse than Rosenfels or Tavaris. It isn't even close in 2009. Favre still has a couple bullets in his gun.

Look my point of view comes as a Jets fan. Yes, our defense is nothing special and they did give up alot but there was many times that Jets had final drives or key times during games down the stretch that Favre missed throws or just simply threw 2 or 3 picks. I am not blaming him for everything because it is a team sport but it was not like he was playing well at all. If he was Jets wouldn't have lost all those games because most of them they were in it until the end only to see Favre fail on a final drive, something he used to be great at and instead of touchdowns Jets fans got to see Favre force a ball that ending up in the other teams hands.

And I don't even really care about that, it is what it is but I just get tired of this guy trying to be the talk of the NFL every ****in season by pretending to be done and then as soon as anyone is talking football suddenly he is talking with another team. If you want to play then play, but enough is enough with the whole tearful "I am walking away from the game speech" after the season only to return the next season. As for the "Favre banter" exactly my point slacker, you dont have to seek at all if you want to hear about Favre. He makes sure the eye is on him, you can't watch any tv if you don't want to hear about the drama queen. You can't even enjoy watching highlights of shit that matters without ESPN or any other network coming up a "Brett Favre alert or update" wasting 15 minutes talking about a ****in x-ray of Brett's arm. Even ESPN announcers in NBA and MLB games talk about it and make wise cracks basicly saying, without saying, is he ever just going to go away. I just would like to be able to turn on the tv without having to listen to what Brett Favre is doing today. I wouldn't even care but then instead of signing with a team, he holds them hostage until the last possible minute just so he can milk it for as much attention as he can get. Notice that the only teams that want to sign him have no quarterback at all? I mean the Vikings what do they have Brad Johnson or Jackson? He makes throws he used to get away with 6 years ago and now they are going the other way.
