current inflation rate is only at 0.38%
since most people are losing their jobs or taking pay cuts, stuff in the USA is still getting more expensive in away.

crazy drop from aug. 08, crazy, we will see when the increased gov spending hits the economy, this gives me hope in avoiding hyper inflation though...

We're seeing some weakness in the dollar this week. Made for some nice gains in commodities recently. I pounded SLV (iShares Silver) in the low $12.00's and I already have a nice return.

I'll hold, because inflation will rage and the dollar will continue to weaken..........

The total money supply has actually dropped the last 2 years - due to decreasing values of homes... You can't borrow as much on homes. Add to that the credit crunch, the money supply has drastically shrunk.

It's a good thing, too. The government is spending 2 trillion more than it has, which increases money supply (and inflation). But until the credit crunch eases, this shouldn't increase inflation.
