well since you asked, i'll explain..

He had a Equity Line of Credit, when i got into trouble back in 2004 he tapped that and a few other times, the total was about 96K. Then my folks moved, once they sold their house the HELOC was paid off and they assumed a new Mortgage, which we pay monthly, therefore they lost nothing out of pocket, and we have a fixed payment we make every month, which we pay much above the minimum and are chewing up the principal every time. The 12K i needed when i crashed back in December is being paid off monthly at the rate of about a dime thanks to my 2nd job. Almost 1/3rd of the way paid already.

I have goals here, and i have a better money management system in place so as to avoid the pitfalls i fell into before. For one is not playing from behind with borrowed money, thanks to my comeback baseball play of the year i was 4 dimes to the good right off the bat, thats been returned and now i am over 7 dimes to the good. 120K is the goal.
