I can't hate on him, I thought it was free money myself. I had over 480 invested on the Lakers ML, but how any gaming site thinks live betting is profitable is beyond my comprehension. I stayed put at the half only trailing by 3 thinking the Lakers couldn't play much worse, but half way through the 3rd quarter I put 220 on the Rockets+4.5, then at the start of the 4th quarter put another 220 on the Rockets +3, ended up only losing 40 for the game (still lost $ but to get off the hook for 480 almost felt like a win). It also makes me rethink the way I'll approach other games @ sportsbetting the live betting line is not removed until the 3 minute mark in the 4th quarter.

I lost over $1,000 alone on the game. But, it happens. I was up over $2,000 last week hitting all the MLs and was on the run of my life in MLB.

I'm still on a nasty streak in MLB and NBA. So, I'm still up money and DOING WORK.

The reason why I bet these big MLs is b/c in the long run, is b/c in the long run, it's working for me. Betting the big ML has won me a lot and I've only lost on 2 games. Lakers yesterday and Orlando in Game 1 vs. 76ers. Other than that, every big ML for me has come through.

So, I've won a lot off the big MLs which basically paid for my losses here. Still up $3,000 on the Spreadsheet.

It happens. Luckily, I got the bankroll so it wasn't a huge loss.

I could have gone crazy and bet more, but I make sure I'm still PLUS money no matter what.

Maybe your book will cancel the bet since you didn't call it a lock.

The linemakers job is to get the $ in on the game as close to 50/50 as possible. Maybe not in these recent playoff games but generally the books are all over the line and total, usually coming down to a meaningless shot to swing the spread one way or the other. Maybe it didn't work out this last game but I'll take the higher risk in amount wagered to lower the stress level and the high probability of a 4th quarter meltdown, which this Lakers team has been known to do here recently. The back door covers, meaningless last second layups, missed late free throws, fluke 3's as time expires is too much stress for myself to handle. This is the highest ML I've played this year but after considering the factors: LA was 4-0 against Houston this season, LA has been lights out at home, LA had lots more rest finishing off the Jazz early, thought LA would protect home court and try to send a message, boy was I wrong. But strictly speaking in relation to the NBA I rarely bet the spread whether it be the dog or the fav, I find it harder to find a edge and feel like I'm flipping coins because the books are so unbelievably good at what they do.

why does everyone care so much about wat other people bet or not?
do you not have enough to think about in life
that you need to make others worse? or you need to investigate how much their betting on?

I probably lost more than Samster, does it really matter what someone else bets? I never understood why people care about what someone else bets and the figure. I only care what I bet and could care less about anyone elses bets.

I am sure this game got more people than are admiting to it. it had a NE Patriots - NY Giants Super Bowl feel to it. No way the Lakers were going to lose at home in game 1 and give up home court advantage - right?

Unlike the Super Bowl which was one game, this was the 1st of a seven game series so plenty of opportunity to chase and chase. A real dangerous situation for the undisciplined.
