#780I can't stand the 2 party system and hope in my lifetime we get rid of it BUT the democrats are kicking ass and the republicans just don't get it. Republicans still hanging on old values and won't come into the 21st century. They have no clue that the country is changing right before them and are not doing anything to reach out to everyone. The old staunch republicans believe that people need to conform to them instead of figuring out how to conform to the people. Campaign's built on exclusion won't work well in this country and they still haven't learned their lesson.Comment -

#786Brooks - I know we're in a gambling forum so we're all talking shit BUT, your comments IMO represent many in the Republican agenda. Put people down because of how they look, what they do, who they love, etc., etc. Until the party looks at people for who they are instead of what species they are, the party is going to struggle. The party is going to have to evolve because this country is evolving and you're going to soon see republicans losing positions all over the country in this next decade.

#788I don't know if you saw a survey I posted yesterday where Younger kids believe more in Socialism over Capitalism but it is what it is. Times are changing, like it or not. These young kids don't believe in working to make the company rich, they want the company to give them something too. When I took my first job, I never even asked how much was I going to make. I accepted on the spot. I didn't even know my salary until I got my first check. Kids now a days want to know the benefits before they even apply. They want to know the office environment, who's running the company and work life balance. From what I've seen companies do the last 20 years, I can't say that I blame them today. Our young kids are smarter than we think though. They are not totally lost.Comment -

Conservatives are inherently (generally) against change. Change is inevitable and the democrats are more willing to embrace that.Comment -

#792I can agree with you because I'm neither Dem or Rep.
But if I was either party, I would not ever say it nor let anyone know how I feel in the open. If I'm running for office, I would never, ever alienate anybody. I'd love everybody, kiss every baby and shake every hand.Comment -

no I didn't but I wouldn't call that news and that is exactly my point... I remember being 12 once too and talking with my friends about why we have to work in the future and why someone couldn't just make TVs and another person just make cars, and trade amongst each other...lol so dumb/liberal
but thankfully I paid attention in school and more importantly attended school before indoctrination really picked up to where we see it today.Comment -

#797Which is why the republicans are going to have a thumb up their ass again in November. I can list many companies that had the same attitude that are no longer in business. I can think of many workers who said "that's the way we've always done it", who cannot find employment any more. I'm not sure why change would be considered anti conservative but they need to get off that platform quick. The good old days are gone. It's a new day and those that can embrace change will make it while those afraid of change will be left behind.Comment -

#802A lot of the party believes in wanting everything handed to them, and NOT working at all. I work probably less than most on this forum, but I don't waste time or money either. Usa has one of the longest work weeks in the world, but having people depend on government isn't the answer either.Comment -

#803Brainfreeze - why do you care? Just because you do not agree with someone, does not mean you don't do business with them. It shouldn't mean that you demean them, mock or ridicule them. Would you not take money from a homosexual? Nonsense. These issues are not going to go into hiding. The cat is out of the bag. It does not change who you are or what you believe but aren't you going against our forefathers who believed that everyone should be able to live the way they wanted to live without interference/oppression from the government or people that don't like their lifestyle??? Are you a communist?Comment -

i care because they need to know its wrong, if they didn't know it was wrong, then they don't need to think about fixing a wrong. But woe to those who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!Last edited by brainfreeze; 07-26-16, 06:37 PM.Comment
