Not a thing I've said is racist....many of you just cant face reality until some militant racists like BLM block the road and drag you out of your car and bash your honky head in. #459Well if you want to walk like a duck and quack like a duck, if someone mistakes you for a duck, don't get mad. Time for people to grow up and be good role models for the younger ones. Time for what Obama called for at the beginning of his term, " change " ... Don't look to point fingers at the police, go look in the mirror to find out where (most) of the short comings, downfalls, and the problems are coming from.
If you get pulled over, do as the cops command, no problems. If a cop does something unjustified, prosecute the guy to the full extent of the law.. I can't believe the people thinking it's justified to shoot cops, that " they understand " ... If all America thought this way, we'd be in some real trouble.
I stand by my statement, black lives matter is only causing division, hate, and now the killing of police. Shame on anyone that stands by this statement. We all matter ...period, let's act like it.Comment -

#464Number of US police officers killed by guns surges by 72 percent compared to July 2015
The fatal shootings of three police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana has pushed the number of cops killed by firearms so far this year to 31 ‒ a whopping 72 percent higher than the same period last year.
The surge in police fatalities, recorded by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, follows a particularly deadly month for law enforcement after the high profile killings of police officers in Dallas, Texas and Baton Rouge. Cops were also shot in Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee and Missouri in incidents that garnered less media attention.
A total 31 police officers have been killed by guns in the line of duty up thus far in 2016, compared to 18 during the same period in 2015, according to the statistics.
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund spokesman Steve Groeninger said this change was alarming.
"It's very concerning to see that firearms are responsible for more law enforcement fatalities today than this time last year,” he told CNN.
Overall there have been 63 police fatalities so far in 2016, meaning firearms-related fatalities have made up almost half of all officer deaths. Out of the123 total officer fatalities in 2015, only 41 were a result of guns.
© nleomf.org
So far this year, 24 officers have died as a result of traffic-related incidents, while eight were listed as”‘other,” which includes drownings, electrocutions, falls and fire-related incidents.
Texas has had the highest number of police fatalities in 2016, at 11, followed by Louisiana where seven cop deaths have been recorded.
Earlier this month, five cops were fatally shot and nine injured in Dallas during protests sparked by the police killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castille.
Three cops were killed and three more injured Sunday in Baton Rouge by a lone shooter.
Louisiana State Police Superintendent Colonel Mike Edmonson said the gunman’s “movements, his direction, his attention was on police officers,” and he was definitely “seeking out” police.
Authorities believe a number of recent shootings in other states also targeted law enforcement.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a statement after a preliminary investigation into the July 7 shooting in Bristol that left one woman dead and an officer among the injured, saying they believed the incident was sparked by the recent police killings of African-American men.
On July 8, an officer in Ballwin, Missouri was ambushed while walking back from a traffic stop. He was critically injured in the shooting.
“A direct attack on an officer like this is not common. It was a very open and very blatant ambush,” said Officer Benjamin Granda of the St. Louis County Police Department.
An officer in Roswell, Georgia was also shot at during a traffic patrol on the same day but was not injured.
Also on July 8, this time in Valdosta, Georgia, another officer was shot while responding to a 911 call. He survived the shooting.
Meanwhile, Michigan felt the brunt of the rampant violence when two court bailiffs, both former policemen were killed on July 11 by an inmate inside the Berrien County CourthouseComment -

Hmmm, the 2 states with the most guns. Go figure. To all the people saying "We need more guns to protect ourselves". How did that help these armed, fully trained men? More guns is NOT the answer.Comment -

I have no problem wearing sweat pants if you work a sweat job. No issue with sporting a grill if you're in a music video. You dress for the occasion. But don't come to Wall Street or Main Street in sweats and expect to be taken seriously. Now if you own the company, you can wear what the fukk you want to wear but when in Rome...Comment -

#469I'm all for hunting rifles, hand guns that limit the amount of shots before reloading, shotguns BUT even then I think we need to reduce the amount of guns in circulation. Too damn many. Some people stockpile dozens of guns for no valid reason. Those guns often end up in the wrong hands.Comment -

#473The problem isn't necessarily guns themselves but the ease in obtaining guns, lack of training with guns and people carrying them to compensate for inability to use their brains and fists in confrontations. Guns should be used to defend your home and family, not carried everywhere to be a modern day Charles Bronson.Comment -

#474True, and in today's age with Facebook and all that... Your bosses are looking at you. I remember when I looked like a thug, only respect I got came from women and dudes caught in their own confusion. When I got to Jesus and came out of my grave clothes, I now get respect from the world... When I go for coffee or whatever I get a " have a nice day sir ", and this goes for black or white... Presentation doesn't have a color

I'd personally rather someone keep it real and speak their mind then dance around and patty cake sensitive issues in fear of hurting someones feelings. Most people respect if you are indeed coming from fact and not personal feelings of racism..Last edited by JIBBBY; 07-18-16, 06:22 PM.Comment -

#477I feel sorry for them, neither probably know who their dad is, or haven't seen him because the ride upstate is 4 hours.. This is how they rebel, they don't like their conditions, they don't like themselves, they don't know what to do, but don't want to listen to grandma... If I could tell them anything, it would be to start caring about themselves and about their future. Get out of their circumstances by the right means, do it the right way, and their self esteem will boost a hundred fold, and if they can get in the bible and learn good morals and be honorable people, ... Would be a beautiful thing.Comment -

#478It is no coincidence that the last president with facial hair was Taft in 1913. Over 100+ years of POTUS without facial hair. Disney gets it. Research has shown that people trust people without facial hair. If you are in sales, your sales will go up exponentially if you shave that hair. Very hard for some people to accept but it's the truth.Comment -

FEMA and the Red Cross brought me in to help displaced people after Katrina. I was shocked to see thousands of grown ass men, 18 - 40 that could not read or write. I'm talking thousands, who never, ever had a job, had no working skills whatsoever and were totally useless to society. How does that happen? I'd ask guys, how do you live, how do you eat? They clearly lived by hook or crook, leaching off of others or obviously doing dirt. Many of these guys couldn't even sign their own names. WTH? I called them the walking dead because they had nothing to live for, they had nothing to motivate them to get up in the morning. They were lost causes, no chance of rehabilitating them. The sad part was that I was seeing only a small percentage of the entire lot. We have a ton of people that are totally useless to the society.
The amazing thing was that the kids were vibrant, full of life, joy, happiness even though they were in the worst of circumstances. They were polite, fun loving and would hug you and be a breath of fresh air. I'd look at these 5, 6, 10 year old kids, then in the back drop, I'd see those 20 year olds and it was so depressing to realize that those young kids were going to turn into those walking dead in just a few years. It broke your heart. Maybe some of them can come out of their situations but most will not. They don't have a chance.Comment -

#487People are a product of their environment. You do what you see. You become what you say. We have generations of kids being brought up by parents who are kids, who have zero skills. You will not be able to change these kids until you change their environment.

But who do we blame... Cops? I can't do that... and you sound like a reasonable good hearted guy Mac, I don't think you should be blaming them either. What more can the gov do? They give them literally everything they need to make it out, and some do, some want to learn to read, some don't ... Some will stay in the hood and make excuses all their life(until filled with bullets or in a prison), while others will work hard and get educated (with gov grants) and get out.Comment -
