But I arrive at midnight so have 8 hours to kill there in between :\

Not sure what I should do. A bit of sleep would be nice, or a quick look at NYC, but probably too hard to get out through customs and then back in 5 or 6 hours later. Anyone done this at JFK before?

there is resorts world casino. its just slots and electronic games. not much to do on a wed night. you can get back in the airport without a problem i would think at 630 in the a.m.

plenty of hotels around there if you wanted to get a good 5 hours of sleep

Taking the 6:35 am out of JFK on Friday. Worth the extra $30 to have 6 extra daylight hours in Punta. Still waiting on SBR to provide me the link to reserve the room before I buy the air ticket. I got the email from SBR saying I had a room but would like to confirm accommodations first.

Oh really. Maybe it's easier than I thought.

Although I will be on an international flight if that makes a difference. Will have had 14 hours from Sydney, then 9 hours wait in LA before flight to JFK so hotel bed might be smart if it isn't a huge drama.

Customs opens early as there are 6 am international flights.
You could take a 40 minute subway ride to Times Square but there won't be much to see at that time of day.
If you are just looking to sleep, there are airport hotels for around $130. It might be a good idea to reserve a room ahead of time and then cancel the day before if you change your mind. If a snow storm comes through and there are delays, you'll be glad you have one.

We will do our best to add any SBR Pro who wants to go if a spot frees up, and have prioritized previous bash attendance (not solely post count) when upgrading users. We're sending Cuse and Louisville a PM right now.

Do people that post all the time have the disposable income to go on an international trip? I don't post a lot because I have a full time job and responsibilities outside of that.

It's nice when I can sit in the recliner and post. A cold drink will be in my hand soon.

Not at all. No doubt you are successful, but there are a lot on here because they depend on the points as income. My buddy never post, makes 4x salary that I do, and works a lot less.

This time it's an immigration thing and unless I get to have my Aussie citizenship ceremony before my flight, I won't be going anywhere. Even if I won a gazillion dollar trip around the world
