Indiana has improved, but I doubt they can be Cleveland. No one can.

I don't see anyone beating Lebron in the East for the next 2-3 years.

The Lakers way of obtaining stars isn't the same anymore, it's not the 90s. They can't overspend everyone else. None of this has anything to do with Jim Buss. I'm hoping he gets tossed aside at the end of next season, but I doubt it will help. It's a new era, pal. These days you have to win through shrewd trades and smart draft picks. Jim Buss' biggest fault was trading for Steve Nash.

With training camp a little more than a month away, one of the Lakers’ free agency additions has an injury that will force him to miss at least two international games, according to the team’s website. Russian center Timofey Mozgov, who received $64MM over four seasons to come to L.A., injured his groin Friday in a game against Ukraine.

Mozgov had an MRI today and will be held out of Russia’s next two games in a tournament in Tbilisi, Georgia, relays Lakers spokesman John Black. Mozgov will be re-evaluated in a few days, probably around mid-week. It is not known yet if the injury is something that will linger into training camp or the preseason.

Uh-oh. It might be early, but hamstrings are nothing to play with. Lakers are already sweating after signing him to all that money.

Lakers have added Yi Jianlian on a 1 year deal. I think Lakers fans will be pleasantly surprised with how good he's become. He does everything you'd want from a modern 4-man; rebounds/ blocks shots/ knock down shooter.

Like Darrell Arthur I guess. Better blocker
