I don't know, Reno. Topic was 'greatest band,' not best musicians. Lots of folks around before Led Zeppelin, and just about all of them covering American blues/R&R songs in their beginning stages. Hell, Robert Plant is still doing covers. I'd take Zep over the Who and Stones, however.

oh they were great musicians, especially Page. I just don't think they're as original or influential as some others. They're certainly very popular for the longest time. And of course great is a pretty subjective category.
