ESPN needs to cut out all the extras
I am soo sick and tired of ESPN having stupid guest in the booths, and all the side line interviews while games are going on. When Howard Cosell had John Lenon in the booth all right. that was a big as it gets celeb and at the time was a novelty to have a guest in the booth. It seems every weekend ESPN has another butt plug in the booth Christian Slater, Charles Barkley etc.... STOP IT Already I wanna watch the game. I hope Im not alone on this. What do You guys think? Does this bug u too??

They all need to cut out the silliness and focus more on the game, not just ESPN. Just like I do when McCarver's doing a baseball game on FOX, the MUTE button is activated for this MNF crew as well. Tirico would be fine, but Kornholer and Crrrrrrrack! Thiesman are bush.

The game on the field has become a distraction to the broadcast. And that's just wrong.

I agree ... The "guests" are a distraction from the game ... I personally like Kornheiser, but he sure looks out of his element on MNF.

How about Brian Bosworth last night? See how Tirico kissed his ass when Kornheiser said "you're career wasn't what we thought it was going to be" and Tirico jumped in and said "but you were a great college player." Please.

Suzy Kolber and Michelle Taffeo are also too much. They add nothing to the game. When they say "let's go to Suzy" I cringe.

glad im not alone, wonder why they can't see that the people watching are not entertainment tonight fans. Where there to watch a god damn game not dancing with the stars. The interview with Shaun Alexander was going on and you can here the fans cheering a play as it was happening in the background. Why can't they do all this at halftime. There were no other highlights that day to recap. Fill in halftime with all the bells and wistle and let the game stand on its own merit if it sucks it sucks!

Having Slater in there was a joke. Not only did he not talk about football, but he talked about his play (as in at the threatre). It would be one thing if he was there talking about an action movie or something.
You could see he wasn't a football fan. Every play he pretended to be excited "oh oh ohhhh" and "Look at those guys. They just throw themsleves all over the place out there."

They should keep Charles in the booth. I enjoyed when they had him in there.

I like to tune into halftimes and post games on TNT, even if I didnt catch the games. Charles and company are great on TNT.

Slater is a queer 1st of all, a failed actor

Barkley would be great on ESPN gameday, he is one of best in business,

On the off-chance you held out any hope that ESPN might have some reason to listen to these kinds of complaints from actual sports fans . . .

If you guys have not figured it out yet all these corporations are connected with one another and serve each other's financial interests. The elites who run these companies set it all up...Christian Slater just does not "pop up" in the booth...it's planned well ahead of time....with specific questions and scripts all set for how the interview should go Basically football games and other sporting events are non-stop advertising forums.....sometimes I think Gamecast may be the way to go to avoid all that BS....

I agree with Happy Boy. ESPN doesn't get it. If you get a guest once in a while, with information relevant to the game, sure. But this is just another pointless point on the agenda that distracts from the game. Cornheiser needs to go too. What is he adding, except an argumentative nature that gets in the way of the flow of the game?

Oh well, at least they made a pretty good Chad Johnson commercial.

Man I so much agre about the guest in booth thing. Christain fvcking Slater? Are you kidding me? I dont get a damn about deperate housewives, lost or any other series ABC is trying to cros promote.

Another thing that irks me is when the go to show stats or a Bio of some player in between plays. They have some computer genreated graphic flying around and trying to look cool instead of just getting to the damn stat. Then they flash the stat so fast you cant really see it cause the next play is already starting.
