Durant will have to carry the team in game seven and put up or shut up.
Honestly, if OKC gets passed San Antonio, they actually match up worse with Cleveland than Golden State....getting ahead of myself.Comment -

That's the defense they played the entire season when leading by three in the waning seconds.
The funny thing is, if someone made the initial three-pointer, you would have been complaining "why was Duncan on the court?? He can't guard the three!!"Comment -

#240They're not gonna win anything with that roster and coach. They should be winning the west every year as the best duo in the nba right now by far, but they just won't because they're not smart enough to win. They need to increase their bball iqs. Durant and Westbrook have 5 years left in their primes. Of complete dominance. I don't care if they never win a ring. I've watched every era of basketball and Westbrook is a far superior player to John Stockton. It's not even close. I don't care if Stockton is the all time leader in assists. You can't even mention Jason Kidd in the same breath as Westbrook when Westbrook's career is over. You'll see. Those guys are both 1st ballot hall of famers.... People will think I'm foolish for saying that right now, but in 10 years....you will see. Watch.Originally posted by No coincidencesSo a first-ballot lock, teamed with a HOF lock ... two Hall of Fame shoo-ins on the same team, yet they can't even sniff a title in the primes of their careers. Hmmm....
And Durant....I already explained that. What is he, like top 5 all time in ppg in the history of the nba? Guy is a scoring machine. People thought the Iceman was the best scorer they've ever seen. Durant takes that to another level. 7 footer with a handle, a crossover, and a jumper. You realize how many 1st team all nba's the guy already has? And he's got 5 years minimum left of contending for that spot.
Making the hall of fame isn't just about winning. It's much more about statistics and your resume.
Do you think that Scottie Pippen was a better overall player than Kevin Durant?Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#241chris mullins and mitch richmond (not first ballot but still... these two were the original splash brothers)Originally posted by No coincidencesI'll concede Stockton and Malone. Name more than one example of a first-ballot HOFer and another HOFer playing together in their prime that didn't win a ring.
I've been watching the NBA for over 30 years. There is literally no reason why a team as talented as OKC shouldn't be a frontrunner this year. Instead, they're playing third fiddle in their own conference.
tracy mcgrady and yao ming
shaq and penny (penny probably won't make it in to the hall due to injury though)

#243lol those two guys bolded make the hall of fame and coin thinks westbrook and durant won't. On a completely differently level than those two, not even close, and both those guys (mullan and richmond) would admit.Originally posted by Ghenghis Kahnchris mullins and mitch richmond (not first ballot but still... these two were the original splash brothers)

Mutumbo and Iverson....both hall of famers....got dick smacked by kobe and shaq.
Yao and Tmac although neither was that healthy while together.
Then you had G Payton and S. Kemp. Kemp isn't in the hall but he's right on that borderline.
Karl and Stockton.
2 hall of famers don't play on the same team often and not win a ring. But it can happen. Durant and westbrook both 5 years left in their primes....if they stay together, I guarantee they'll win 1 together. It's just not their time right now.
It's rare that 2 of the top 5 players in the world have ever played on 1 team together. Only twice as far as I know. Kobe and Shaq in 2001-2003 both top 5 players. And Wade and Lebron from 2010-2011. Both easily top 5. Pippen was never top 5. Stockton was never top 5.
Westbrook will go down as a better player than Gary Payton and John Stockton. Mark these words right now.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#244Spurs are gonna win this series. They have too much depth for the Thunder to handle. I don't trust those scrubs like Waiters and Adams to contribute consistently to beat the Spurs 2 more times. Ppl think westbrook and durant have to share the ball more but that's exactly what the spurs want them to do. Let waiters and Kanter and Ibaka take shots. Even open ones. You'll see. Durant and Westbrook have to combine for 65-70 for Thunder to have a chance to win next game.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#245I'm not really that concerned. You got a return on a -135 bet. I got a return on okc +325 live. Do you not see the difference? If you look at my posts earlier in this thread I said that okc may still win but for a team that normally collapses I would like a better return. I got what I wanted. You got the worse number possible. Good job. You only have to win 2+ more bets to get the same return. 101 sir. Call me a rookie, don't need your acceptance. I bet a lot more money then you think. If you've been around you would knowOriginally posted by GoBlue77Oh no... this winning money deal feels so wrong. OMG I didn't get the best number possible, oh nooooooo!!!! Only someone with a baby account would worry about -135 juice. I could care less about the line movement.
Stay on the sideline rookie.
