    free sports pager from cris?
I was looking at my comp points and I realized I had enough for a the $200 freeplay and sports pager but I notice you could get a $150 freeplay and $50 freeplay for less (and some other shitty crap like a tshirt)... Anyhow I was just wondering if the sportspager was any good or not... I can't see myself packing around a pager like some 80s high school weed dealer...

I think a pager would be pretty cool.( you don't have to actually wear the thing around in public)

I have internet on my cell but it can be a pain in the ass if i want to check out a score when I am out.

I would ask about the service. If you get free service with it, sounds like a good deal.

I guess it also depends if you really need it. A couple of my buddies don't ever leave their house . I guess the would have no use for it.

But anyway if you get free service with it, why not??? There is always Ebay!!!

What does the thing even do? Page you with scores of games constantly?

I could see if it was a 2 way and you could place bets, that would be sick.

I just took the $50 and mousepad. It actually came about 2 weeks later, and looks decent. I like it because it's about half the thickness of a normal pad

The new cell/net phones have rendered sports pagers obsolete altho some cell plan$ are expensive. I still use my 4yr old pager from time to time. It has 'espn to go' on it.

I have one from DSI , its the same one as CRIS. It comes in handy when I am away from home, I can check scores on the games that i have action on. Scores are usually 5 min or so behind real time but it doesn't matter as long as I can follow along with it. Also has updated lines and openers which is nice. I like my pager. You have to keep your account active with them or they will cancel the pager service. I think you have to bet 1x every couple of weeks to be considered active.
