I don't listen to Mendoza--she's a softball player for God's sake, and I'm sick of ESPN shoving women into the booth to be "progressive." When ESPN started to think like it was the gold standard for sports television, starting with stupid stuff like the ESPYS that's where they made a turn for the worst. It used to be about reporting sports in different, cutting edge style using real athletes and inside guys to expose a new angle to the public. They hired smart writers and used people in the know to appeal to all the sports nuts out there. It was always about the sport, now its about selling their own brand. Its about advertising and $$$. It still covers college sports better than anyone else out there but the focus is on being politically correct, not being the rebel in the business. ESPN took itself too seriously.
