Well guys my power goes out 5 seconds before the cards go into the air. Kind of sums up this tourney for USA. Just came back on now.
Someone hit an electricity poll and the blackout hit. Just wanted to Congratulate team Canada and SBR for hosting this tourney. Canada played great in closing it out. You guys deserved it. It was fun BSing with all of you. Nothing personal at all! I can't wait for another one of these. It has been a great 4 months of grinding. SBR thanks again!!

For future reference, playing on a laptop with a charged battery would have solved your issue.

Thanks Man! I would have a full blown panic attack if it was for the tourney. It literally happened 5 seconds before cards were dealt. I have the latest iphone. Are you saying that would work?

I am on a laptop with a charged battery. I didn't have any power therefore no internet to play. It was a 10 mile blackout. Am I missing something?

Bobby you are one funny dude with the "less fortunate". Always looking to get shit riled up. Yeah I know I could do that but it was a 10-15 mile radius so not sure what that would have done. Obviously with huge implications on the line I would be getting in my car and finding out. I'm looking into a generator to see if it would power my internet. With the storms we've been having in Houston I should have one anyways. I think the generator powering internet depends on the outage radius but I'm not sure.

Pboozer, if you want internet for your laptop, either use your cell as a wifi hotspot or buy a USB wireless stick (same basic function as the air card) but you also need to have a cellular data plan with your provider. there are other basic options but those two are generally the cheapest and easiest to use.

I guess where you are located your power didn't go out. I was going to try to facebook you but it was a total crap shoot. Seriously right when cards were being dealt....bang gone for 1 1/2 came back on at 1130 our time. A semi truck hit an electric poll causing a pretty big blackout. I guess is wasn't meant for TEAM USA after all lol. I'll send you the address to the new legion. It is right next to door to BIG TEX you pull in and its on the left side of it. A guard will be at front...you know the routine. Where the lowes is and home depot across the street.
