Just got some serious Vegas inside

I'm seeing in Vegas Dallas at 2-1 and St Louis at 9-4 to come out of the West and Dallas 4-1 and St Louis 5-1 to win it all.

Only series price I've seen shows a pick em between the two.

St Louis an underdog in Dallas for game 1, of course, but not by much, in the neighborhood of +110.

I'm not trying to argue PorkChop, I just see this race to the finals a little differently right now.

Dallas could be in trouble here.



Edit: Pinny has the Blues favored for the series -115/+102. Dallas +102 and the better than 2-1 we can online for them to come out of the West just feels a bit like a sucker bet to me, right now.

Im riding Dallas and crossing my fingers every game. This isn't my pick or angled. This was information that was relayed to me which I played. (As you know my pick was Anaheim).

I do think Dallas gets to the WCF, from there, complete tossup. Looking at this from the outside, I don't think there is one clear cut favorite in the Western Conference you can make the "easiest" case for.

For what's it worth,.... IMO, Hockey being a game of momentum and timing lends itself to the Penguins quite possibly surprising the Capitals with a few quick victories. Washington's offense just isn't that overpowering and yet the Penguins can score 4 or 5 goals in a game quite often. Yes, Wash has a great defense, but is it enough to overcome their lack of scoring.? Crosby & Co. will be quite a challenge to overcome, maybe even winning in 6 games. On the other side, the Bruise, I mean Blues are very solid on D, very physical while Dallas D is giving up too many goals. I'll be very surprised if the Blues don't get to the Stanley Cup finals no matter who wins Sharks/Predators series. Speaking of momentum & timing, Islanders are in high gear, winning series vs Tampa Bay would not surprise me. Then getting past Penguins to reach Cup finals would. Washington have had a great year and if they are ever going to get to the finals , this would be the year. A Blues vs Capitals Cup would be very exciting. Don't have much faith in Nashville or San Jose, just not consistent enough although I would expect this series to go 7 games with outcome decided in OT.

Because in Dallas' case they're 2/1 to win West and 5/1 to win Cup. 5/1 is worth the extra series risk.
