Memphis is the 5th seed in the West and of the caliber of the Clippers and Thunder...even their bench players beat the Cavs. Memphis just has a history of choking in the playoffs but they did knockoff the #1 seed Spurs a few years ago with virtually this same team when they were an #8 seed. Problem for them is they dont have the shooters of a GSW. The fact is GSW or Spurs (whoever wins that matchup will win the NBA Championship) it's tough to advance in the playoffs in the West when you got 2 teams with home court advantage that haven't lost a home game all season.

I love the Griz and have for years....however this is the nba and they are Toronto Craptors of the west. Bottom line if you don't have a top tier player league is willing to promote heavy or in a good market you are fukked. Nba has worked off same grid for last 3+ decades since Magic/Bird. It's a star driven league bottom line end of fairy tale.

Cavs will rep the least conf, and face Gsw or Spurs. All biz baby and "safe" story lines to sell. Gonna be a cold day in hell before you see a team repping nba in a final that is not a major market, or have a star player or great storyline to promote. Good as teams like Toronto might be most cannot name 2 players on that roster and even they get no real run from promotion aspect.
