I dont know cootcher. Because we're sheltered from these types of incidents ( due to our countries gun laws) maybe that's why we shouldn't judge.
I am happy that virtually nobody in my country carries a gun however, if I lived in the United States where virtually everyone has a gun I truly believe I would want one too. And I'd like to believe I would use it responsibly like Paco.

Get why you'd want to carry if you lived there. Id probably be the same but also understand that a gun is a false sense of security as human visual only has a 120 degree arc of vision. How will carrying a gun protect you from the other 240 degrees??

In 2015, guy kills two people outside a police station, 2 months later a guy takes hostages in a cafe in Sydney kills two of them before police could take him down. Before that:
At Monash,*seven people were shot(two fatally) by a murderous student who was armed with multiple handguns. All six handguns were acquired legally. *The attacker was later determined to be mentally ill.
The*Hectorville siege that saw seven people shot*(three fatally) was conducted with a shotgun that was legal under Australian law. The attacker in this incident was also found to be mentally ill.
The*Hunt family murders*were likewise carried out with a legally-owned shotgun. The murderer in this instance was thought to be highly stressed due to his wife’s head injury

No matter what laws are in place people who want to kill others will find the tools they need whether legal or not. No matter what country they live in or how proud you are of your countries laws compared to others. As long as there is fuked up people in this world this stuff is going to happen. That's all I am trying to say.

Not a single mass murder in all those incidents and they are the worst of the worse my country has had to deal with...

Sh1t in the ghetto is usually criminals killing criminals so no one cares, that's why it don't make national news. Occasionally an innocent bystander gets killed by a stray bullet.
