its something that has to be done in person, i think anyways, if u go to drf.com and buy a program for a track its like 2.50, and send me the program i could give you a few plays, and some how put key notes within the program to guide you through it .....Originally posted by Chi_archie

for one thing, dont bet MAIDEN races, cause usually its the horses first time racing, first time on lasik, and handicapping them types of horses is like trying to handicap a basketball game with players u never heard of...
2nd Check the horses previos workout, if its within 7-10 days of the current race, keep him in your mind, the workout stats are at the bottom of the individaul horses stats, it usually says Trainer workouts, or something within that range
3rd pay attention to races that are over a mile long, they r the best ones to cap and find horses who close on the final turn around the track, usually good 5-1 8-1 shots winComment -

you can find closing horses by checking the horses last 3 races and to see if they are close to being the same distance as his current race , if so, see how he ran around it will have like 5 columns of number and the first number is what order he was in, lets say he started 5 then went to 7 then to 4 stayed in 4 then ont he final turn went to 2 or 1 he is a great closer, even if he lost the race it will have how many lengths he lost by, if its within 2 thats a good closer, usually it will say 1/2 or 3/4 along them lines

You pick the order of the horse that comes in first and the horse that comes in second. That is an exacta. An exacta box is a bet in which you choose two or more horses to finish 1st and 2nd in the race. For example if you play a $2 1,3,4,6 exacta box, as long as 2 of those four horses comes in 1st or 2nd you win. This bet is a $24 bet.Comment -

If you do play a superfecta, you want to play it in a race where there is value in longshots. Playing a Superfecta in which their is one clear cut winner I found is not worth it.Comment -
