I seen every game they've played, it should be washington up 3-1 if anything and I don't think NY has talent of Washington and that's why they play best of seven. They could lost 5-0 I know. Anything is possible. That's what's gambling's all about right?

"Sharks are chokers" is a media-created myth.

If you want to go back farther, 2005 was the lockout, and 2004 they made it to the Conference Finals.

Starting in 2004, they've won five playoff series. Not many teams can say that, aside from the Cup winners like New Jersey and Detroit.

I guess it's because they always seem to have a great regular season and you never see them playing for the western conference championship.

In the same period of time we are talking about with San Jose, Detroit was losing a lot of series that they should have won.

agreed. It's does seem that they should have gotten farther in the playoffs over the last 5 or so seasons with all that talent and good regular seasons.

Every year for past few, media has touted Sharks as a huge playoff contender. Even when they didnt win the Western conference. They have always had 'disappointing' performances.

Detroit ends up getting a pass for their early flameouts because they've gotten to the top a few times.

Still, I don't think any other team has lost in the first round as a high seed as often as Detroit has.

Detroit was chocking alot until they won the cup in the mid 90's. Since then they won 3 more, No way is a team like that in the same class as San Jose, whose yet to win 1.
