    Yanking Wang.....
so the yanks are having wang go to extended spring training to start a game and "work" on some of his mechanical issues..... what are the odds that Wang sustains an "injury" in this outing requiring him to go to the dl and do a minor league rehab??????

I'd say the odds were about as good as the Bruins' chances to sweep the Habs tonight. Maybe headlines will read, "Wang cut short in rehab."

I dunno Chi. Part of me thinks that a pitcher doesn't have two back to back 19 win seasons and then just fall apart, this has got to be a solvable mechanical issue. The other part of me thinks that the Yanks let his contract go to arbitration and they might know something that they are not telling us. Then the third part of me thinks that if they do know something they would have dealt him when his value was higher... Then another part of me thinks I am hungry and need a sandwich.

One of the reasons why Don Mattingly should've gotten the job.

but seriously I think it falls more on Dave Eiland.... then a manager

if the yanks had hired Mattingly, maybe he would have stepped down last year, like he stepped down as hitting coach.... due to family probs

Or maybe he would stop adjusting the line-up more than Rafa Nadal adusts his trousers in a match, and would win the respect of his players. Girardi is a lot of things, but a leader ain't one of them.

Wouldn't mind seeing them give Hughes a chance. Still think this guy is going to be very good.

/agree. When is the last time Girardi got tossed from a game to fire up his team? Good news is that Joe is done if he can't make the playoffs with this roster.

I have noticed that every time a Yankee pitcher has a string of bad outings, they put them on the DL. I truly believe the only thing wrong with Wang is his head. His arm is fine. Now I have to listen to the Yankee announcers talk about how good the Yankees would have been this year if Wang was healthy...Jeesh.
