I live like an exit away and have yet to go to the track, I think it is for my good but it seems like it might be kinda fun, anyone know of any links or such or bios on the ponies there, would be much appreciated , thanks, and please dont move mods, i will get no response in horses, who actually goes in there?

They only run there a few precious weeks each summer, in 2009 they will be running July 22nd through September 9th. There would be no specific info on the horses running there at this time, but stay tuned...

Do yourself a favour and stay away from the horses, extremely tough game and can be very frustrating.

I've been playing the horses since I was a kid, I grew up near a racetrack and got a job there.

I've had some big wins but ultimately am down lifetime betting horses.

If you are going for fun and to throw away a few dollars thats ok, but to believe you can make money on the horses is the wrong way to go about it.

jjgold knows about Del Mar. He used to live across the street from the track in 2005 according to Loveline.

horse racing is fixed, if u like playing the lottery then you will like the horses, just go there with a hat full of numbers and just pick 3 and box em every time

i use to play delmar on simulcast, but like any other track its fixed...

When I lived in So. Cal, I used to love to play hookey from work and drive down to Del Mar, beautiful track, some good looking women actually show up.

Don't get me wrong though. I used to play hookey from work and go to Santa Anita and Hollywood Park as well. It was just more fun going down to where the surf meets the turf at Ol' Del Mar.

The bottom line is you probably shouldn't hire me as your employee.

Interesting info. I too live an exit away - del mar heights. I usually go once a year and lose all the time. It's a fun place though.

I want to bet more on this track when the season comes later this year.
