    Worst beat ever?
so I was going through some old betting slips and I found some horrific beats I have taken over the years... what are your top 10?

    10. AZ St losing to baylor spread was -1 (1800.00)
    9. BYU allowing a last minute meaningless basket to fail covering the spread -13 (500.00)
    8. going 0-7 in NFL 3 weeks before the season ended (2200.00)
    7. All the countless times where you have a 6 team parlay and hit 5 out of 6 and the favorite screws you.
    6. Betting on the vikings
    5. Betting against the timberwolves (5 backdoor covers)
    4. fading the tampa rays most of the season (dumb)
    3. Picking Gophers to upset Texas in the tourney
    2. hitting the bj table at 5dimes and winning 800 then losing it all betting on the mets last season... thanks aaron heilman
    1. 10 team screwing around parlay 3 years ago hit 9 out of 10 and final game lost because minny missed a field goal against the chicago bears... 100.00 to win like 100k+

long and somewhat blurry and abbreviated but what the hell.

the S.D vs Steelers game last year, for steeler's backers.....where Troy Polomalu scored a fumble recovery TD in the last seconds to cover, then they took it away wrongly, just before the game went off the air

god I almost forgot this! the killer was when one of the announcers said "well there certainly will be some people this score affected"

          or something to that effect

I remember a prop bet I took on Ryan Leaf passing yardage in a bowl game. He completed a pass to get me over the yardage required in the 4th quarter, but it was called back for holding and he never completed another pass after that. I think it stayed under by 5 yards or so. Teaches me a lesson for betting props and for betting on Leaf!

I was a victim of that one myself, just another reason why NFL ranks a distant 5th behind NHL, MLB, CFL & NBA for me.

Fvck Archer, I thought I was over that one but the reminder still pains me.

yeah tonight was the worst fish loss i think i've ever seen, not only did i lose money on it, this is one that will **** us for a week/two if we dwell on it

but last year on senior day in champaign we played minnesota and i had the under 124. the 1st half was low scoring but 2nd half the threes were raining so with 14 seconds left the illini are up 15 and webber subs in chris hicks after the crowd cheers for him. so i figure he'll get it and just dribble it out, but the sob gets it at half court dribbles once and with 3 seconds left throws up a prayer and i instantly scream NOOOOOOOOO. the buzzer blares, he hits the rim, the ball bounced straight up and comes back down for the swish, pushing the total to 125

i screamed f u and stormed out, the bets part was that f bomb came in the audience of the old people around our season tixs LOL
