VIP needs a new marketing director.
Like all of you, I got an email form VIP offering a "spooktacular" bonus, if I deposit by midnight on the 31st. Like all emails from them, they make it look personalized. It just says make a deposit and get your 20% cash bonus. No wher eon the email does it say anything about eligibility. No where on the email does it even suggest that one should call prior to depositing to make sure you are eligible.

Lucklily I've been around long enough to know, that sites like VIP often send out these emails only to tell you that you aren't eligible. So i got onto live chat and asked, and they came back and said, sorry you are a net winner so no bonus for you.

I just wnat to ask them, if you aren't going to give a bonus to anyone who is a net winner, why send us these emails offering a bonus. Why not just send the emails to losers. I understand when small books make these kind of errors, but there is no excuse for a book the size of VIP to be sending out such misleading emails, unless their intent is to get people like me to deposit, and then turn around and screw us by not giving us the bonus.

It's becoming blatantly obvious that VIP does not embrace technology as playing an important role in their business operations. Their software issues have been documented in another current thread.

This particular situation is easily remedied through effective database management and is as simple as flagging accounts that are net negative for the book. When VIP drops its email list for delivery, they should purge against this flag and then guys like marc don't ever receive VIP's offers and don't end up bashing VIP on the most important watchdog forum in the industry.

Is anybody awake at VIP? These are all easy fixes unless your intention is to scam your players.

I agree. And please If You (Betgameday) have some interal rule that players (incl. new players) from some country are not eligible for bonuses, do not send them letter with generous offers.

What should I think if a player got the info about the bonus at forum from another player who got the offer via e-mail, deposited, was refused to get a bonus (because he is from a wrong country) and few day after that he got another bonus offer ?!?

I mentioned after visiting Curacao earlier this month that VIP was still recovering from going from a public company back to being private. At the same time they moved a book they bought this year, Nine, from Costa Rica to Curacao.

It's the same team that has been there since the 90's. I'd expect some of these glitches we have seen to subside. As one poster said, there is no need to send out emails to people that are not qualified. Thats just not smart business.

Too expensive and time consuming to figure out which email address "qualify" or "dont qualify" They are obviously sending out 100's of 1000's of emails at a time. This is why this occurs. Of course, you guys know this already.

It's not _good_ business, but it may be _smart_business. If they can get even a small fraction of people to deposit more without them having to honor the bonus, that's more business for them.

I see a new wave of VIPspams. People that got previous emails, deposited and was refused to get a bonus now got another emails (20% with Santa). VIP is managed from a madhouse.

Not really , at least they advise it is only available to US and Canadian.

                            Also they add

""We always recommend contacting our Customer Service Department prior to applying, in order to verify eligibility and learn of the rollover requirements for our promotions. "

There is no intent to deceive with them.
