The Bears special seems kind of tame I agree - moving the line from like 8/8.5 to 9.5 doesn't do much, not exactly common numbers. But the Dallas special is very very good value - I put nearly my whole balance on it, cmon Cowboys!

Blackjack specials are basically giving away free pts, if you have half a clue of basic BJ strategy. I never came close to losing on a BJ special. Just because there's a sportsbook special, doesn't mean you're guaranteed to win like a BJ special (example Cowboys).

Whoever voted for this, I'm ecstatic that SBR cleaned your clock on Dallas. Get smart & vote BJ next year!

Have to disagree. Personally prefer sportsbook specials by a large margin. Value is value in the long-term even if blackjack specials have much lower variance than sportsbook specials - you bet +EV things, in long-term you win, even if you have to take losses along the way.

And main point is having a blackjack special for an hour or two, I think I'm far from only one who would rather not be doing that on Thanksgiving Day. Sportsbook special, you spend a few seconds making a bet, then you can do whatever you want rest of day (be it enjoying the game in question or whatever!).

Not really true. Yes BJ specials have lower variance, but to claim they are better EV is not true at all. The SBR sportsbook gave us Dallas +3 +100, when if we had had to bet the same line at a sportsbook the line would have been somewhere between -140 and -150. So betting 10000 points to win 10000 on that line compared to something which is roughly even EV that would instead be 14000-15000 to win 10000 on the same line, the former is insanely +EV, much more so than a guaranteed 500 point BJ special. Yes variance is high, but as a big time gambler as you claim to be, you should well know it's all about the long-term (especially considering the sportsbook special just requires a few seconds to do compared to spending an hour or two playing blackjack).
