In terms of European beer, Amstel is just above Heineken. And that's not a good thing. Try some Stella, Kronenburg, Becks. Anything but Amstel.

For once I'm in total disagreement with Casper. It's a decent lager, but there are better. I would rather have a Carta Blanca or Pacifico if I'm in the mood for a Mexican lager, but XX is still better than frat boy Corona and most American piss lagers.

Willie, thing about Corona.....on those 90 degree summer days, it tastes so good ice cold with a lemon and a lime. Yeah, it's a light tasting beer that almost quenches the thirst. Summertime only though.........

Willie, maybe it is because I had 3 Dos Equis at The Playwright last week (beer was $3.50 special) and I had them after drinking 3 Guinness'. After Guiness, everything to me tastes like piss..lol. I agree that I would drink a case of Dos Equis before I drank another Budweiser. As far as Corona goes, I have fond memories drinking a 3-4 of those as I cleaned the restaurant I woked at when I was a ghost in my early 20's.

Agreed, both the dark and lager. We use the lagers for making micheladas: Pint glass, little crushed ice, half-lime squeezed, 3-4 shakes of Tabasco, one spurt of Worchestshire and bottle of Modello poured over.

Oh well then, that's different. Anything after one's favorite stout is shit. When I'm elected World Leader, or US President / Texas Governor whichever comes first, there will be a law prohibiting drinking lager beer within six hours of stouts and no going into the pool less than an hour after eating.
