Holiday season "friendly poker game" rule question?
I'm going to have a couple of friendly games with some good players(industry friends), not so good players(me) and some family.

Should I allow no limit games? And should I say No check and raises?

No one at this table is hurting for the green stuff but I want to keep it friendly without pissing anyone off. Suggestions?

Well John, If your wanting to keep it a very friendly game. Then I wouldn't go the check and raise route.

If you play no limit keep the stakes very low. Put a cap on buyins. I know people love to play it now, but leads to lot of issues especially in a one off game.

Poker is part of the culture now, and check and raise is no longer viewed as wrong among friends. Poker is deception. You can't limit that.

I would recommend you play limit holdem personally.
