JoshW is old school, part of the original Mod Squad of SBR. You might know him as LakerFan from back in the day.

He wasn't actually an original mod here but he has been around forumland for a long time and is very knowledgeable about betting and the industry. I'm trying to remember when he joined SBR. He may have replaced me the first time I quit. Not positive about that though.

I support that, first met josh at the bash and didn't even realize he was a mod.

how many times did you quit? is being a mod like smoking?

2 times.
It is like smoking in some ways. It's mostly useless and unhealthy. Taking a break to mod/smoke is an interruption in what you should really be doing. It only rarely feels good; most of the time you just do it because it's a habit and you feel like you have to.

mudcat, how do you compare selling insurance to being a mod? i like to see you view on that.

That is a challenging question. I have never been an insurance salesman or anything close to it.
If I use my imagination, I could draw some comparisons. I would think most insurance salesmen must go through their job-life feeling somewhat disingenuous. Like they know the basic value of insurance but most of them probably also know there is nothing special about the specific policy they are selling.
I would think that often you know darn well something about your product is not in people's best interests but, if you are intent on keeping the job, you just have to suppress that and keep selling what you've got.
There are elements of that to being a mod.
You are challenging me with these comparisons. I hope I am cutting the mustard with my answers.
