i know i been accused of being a name dropper. But at one time my brother was friends with chad foxx. He won a ring when the marlins won the world series on the team with beckett. He blew his arm up closing for the cubs under dusty. He stated dusty was the best manager he ever played for. They gave prints out to family members of the players. unfortunately for Nats fans, it was either Dusty Baker or Bud Black...not much difference between the two if you ask me...I was never really a Matt Williams fan either...if it were up to me, I would have coaxed Joe Torre or Tony LaRussa out of retirement and given them the keys to the kingdom...two of the all-time greats with multiple World series championships...they both would have been chompin' at the bit to manage a team that is loaded with talent, pitching, and hitting like the Nats...and they know how to handle all of the superstar egos and how to push the right buttons...it's just a damn shame the Nats choked again...all you need to know is 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position...that is not to going to get it done regardless of who's managing.Comment -
