lets see...Pat is a young guy. First i wonder how this game was capped... You have a 10-1 team entering the game against a 1-9 team...

First of all this was a chase, believing a team cannot be swept because you like them. Obviously not a lot of sense went into going all in on a team that has been nothing but horrible up to this point...

Next...years ago I was wiped out in baseball almost in the same way...thinking the better team at the time could not be swept... Yes it happened and I lost everything back then...

Well this year I carry my 6-3 mlb record and winnings from nba/nfl into this spring, summer and hopefully winter. No action for me today, finished last week 4-0.

My point the season never has to end, as long as you are a half decent capper, and bet smaller set amounts. What changed it all for me? Getting older, realizing I was no smarter than anyone else capping and the most important thing... controlling my betting activity and never chasing! I do not bet every day... I do not want to bet every day and know there will be some type of game tomorrow...

The hardest thing for me now? Not the smaller betting...but holding back the temptation to chase after a loss... Very hard when you are young though Pat...

Real simple here...if you are going to lose....why not bet the best teams at least. Seriously betting the worst team in baseball just because the odds were good is not a good reason!

The "deal" is that Patty made a good bet. Doesn't matter that Justin7 also bet it, but it is significant that Patty was able to beat him by 5 cents (and beat the no-vig closer by about 10).

Sorry for the loss Pat...Nats blew it in the 9th each of the last 3 games. Unreal blowing 3 saves in a row and I don't think they even used their closer for this one. Bad teams just find a way to lose. I know the grind sucks but hope you can figure out some money management sometime.

I don't. My point is, Nationals are constantly undervalued and prices are routinely inflated on their opponents. I've bet 97 times on them these past 2 seasons and won 9.5 units. Roughly 10% ROI.
