AAO is trying to tell me that online poker is more +ev than live poker
Everyone with a brain please sign in here and let aao know he's a fool.
God bless.

He might only be right if you can multi-table. If you could only play 1 table online then definitely live poker is the way to go. Although an online table moves at least 4x faster than a live table.

Math your answer is just as bad as aao's statement. Just because you see more hands doesn't mean you have a bigger edge in a poker game.

i think online poker has some good players but if u get on on a fri or sat u have a better chance at breaking drunks due to the fact that u will see more hands and this will make the players u are playing against have a better chance of error, personally i cant stand sitting at a live game anymore unless im on some major xannax, way to boring, but im on a bunch of xannax online anyway lol...

Yes in a strict sense live poker is definitely more +EV. Sorry for including hugely relevant variables like hands per hour. I'd rather have a small +EV online playing 5 tables at 5x the pace on each table than twice the +EV in a slowass live game.
So you win the theoretical argument, but who gives a fukk? If you can make the same profits online in 1 hour that you'd make in 10 hours at the casino, EV doesn't mean shit.

no right or wrong answer. depends on the game. one thing to consider is that online the rake is typically smaller and there's no tipping. So in that sense the avg neg expectancy of the table is smaller.

If you find a table full or drunk fukks early in the morning, i might think online poker can be OK...

In terms of EV per hand, live poker is definitely higher. However, you can have a much higher hourly rate online for the same stakes. If you multitable reasonably well, you'll make a lot more than you could ever hope to live.
If the question is which is more difficult at the same stakes, the answer is obviously that live is much easier at the same stakes as online.
