Orlando to win the East at 6-1

Does anybody else like the Magic to win the East? Conventional wisdom says Lebron will be in the finals against Kobe, but Orlando was 2-0 against Cleveland this season, and blew them out the last time with rookie Courtney Lee emerging as a defensive specialist to shut down Lebron. They'd definitely be the underdog in a series with Cleveland, but I think 6-1 offers some good value.

this team is one piece away, i dont think hedo is the answer at swingman.

But they are allowing 90 points per game over the last month, and that IS what you want come playoff time. The Magic will beat a Garnett-less Celtics team. although that would change if Garnett comes back in time and looks semi-healthy. So it should be a Cleveland/Orlando East Final.

The way I see it is either Cleveland or Orlando will represent the East. Since Cleveland is -275 and Orlando is +600, I don't blame you for throwing a small wager on Orlando. D-Ho is the most dominate big man in thd game right now.

I am in the minority but like Orlando. 6-1 is a bit tough but still I think they have a shot to upset as much as anyone outside of Cleveland and Boston. I say it's worth a shot! Good Luck!

I will agree that Orlando gives matchup problems for the Cav's. I'm a big Cleveland fan and I'm hoping the Magic loses before we have to play them. They scare me more than Boston as they play us well BUT they will struggle versus every other team they face.

The majority of posters in this forum have no concept whatsoever when it comes to value betting. They will back the allegedly better teams regardless of the point spreads or money line offered.

With that being said, taking 6-1 on the Magic to win the East on April 18th (start of the playoffs) was a poor wager.

I say this even after they took out Cleveland last night and won the East.

Being a #3 seed, the chances were strong they would have to win 2 series BOTH ON THE ROAD against Boston and Cleveland. If you made the wager AFTER it was announced that Garnett would miss the entire playoffs, then its not quite so bad.

As I'm sure you are aware, they beat the 76er's and then took the full 7 games to eliminate Boston and even after all that you could have secured the same 6-1 on them just beating Cleveland.

You get an A+ for your handicapping skills and a D- on the odds you got.
