Just out of interest for someone from the UK how would the best college football team do in the NFL in your opinion.

They actually used to play a team of college all-stars against an NFL team years ago. I remember them as a kid, but it has to be a good 40 years since they last did it. An all-star team did beat the Packers back around 1962 or so.
A team of collegiate all-stars could probably hold their own and even win a time or two out of 10 against a subpar NFL team these days. But just plucking one of the top 10 teams and letting them play an NFL squad, no, I don't think they would be able to do it.Comment -

I think the books would be perfectly happy to see that. I say 41.5 because that's just about the ceiling and this is the type of matchup where you almost can't set the number too high. USC a couple of years ago (even though 24 is a bogus response knowing it would never come to fruition) was different because they so closely resembled a pro setup. Ohio State does not.
