Cards probably slight faves. Very slight. Like -120 or -125.
Do you realize that if you take away the first month or so, the Cubs were the better team? The second most reliable playoff starter in this series is Jon Lester.

You think we get a soft line of like -180?
I was really trying not to get too excited about it but I honestly thought -170 to -180.
Didn't want to be disappointed.

You won't be. Somewhere between -120 to -130. Since May Cubs have been better team, Cards have injuries, etc. Cubs should be favored, but probably won't be.\
How about game 1 line? Lester is not going to be a big dog.
Cards won't even be -180 in any game.

-120?
Lester is trash.
I can't see books putting out a line on the Cubs like they have an actual chance, which they don't, and sharp money knows this.
Cards don't blow games, Cubs blow plenty.
More experience, better team by a ton.

Damn was really hoping the Pirates could knock those fools off but it looks like the Pirates will have b2b WC loses.

You are living in the past, bro. "Cubs" before this season is not this Cubs. They've won 9 fvcking games in a row. Their starters have like a 0.5 ERA in the last 10. Lester has been strong lately. So has Hendricks. Plus, there's Back to the Future II.
Lester had a 2.36 ERA and 0.79 WHIP in September. And you're talking experience... Which Cardinal pitcher has more big game playoff experience and success than Jon Lester?

Lackey and Wacha were pretty dominant at home.
I just don't see how anyone can think the Cubs have a shot vs this team.
Could care less about numbers, records, injuries etc.
Cards are twice as good a team.

Agreed
Pirates/Cards series would have been awesome to watch.
Cards will sweep the Cubs or maybe drop 1 game.

You think Lester sucks and that Wacha is "dominant"?
Wacha has been trash since the All Star break. Meanwhile, Lester has been lighs out.

My guess would be Cards -130... if Cubs had homefield advantage probably Cubs -115. Super closer series, excited for it.

Hope you're right and people are dumb enough to buy into the Cubs hype here and we get a steal price like -120.
But I'd honestly be shocked if it was anything under -160
You're talking about a team that won 100 games and basically coasted all year.
Dominant at home, and Arrieta can only pitch game 3.

Lackey announced for Game 1. He actually does have more playoff starts than Lester, but not quite as much success. Fairly even pitching matchup. Yeah, I'd say Game 1 would be Cards -120 or so.

You should probably try to apply comprehension along with the reading you're doing, it's essential.
And yeah, Lester is garbage and will get bombed game 1.

Is coasted supposed to be a good thing. We've seen over and over about getting hot at the right time. Cubs are the hottest team in the last 2-3 months, by a lot. And they have the most dominant pitcher. I know I'm a Cubs fan, but this is a reality, and you are detached from it. Not saying Cubs are some lock to win, but this series can go either way and will be very close to a pk em line.

Winner of Cubs/Pirates should beat STL. Worst 100+ win team I've seen since the 01 Mariners.

Nothing you said made sense.
Lester isn't garbage and Wacha isn't dominant home or away (and in case you didn't realize, the Cubs have owned him all season).

Giants weren't clutch until they won that first one. But they won. They got hot going into playoffs. Just like Cubs.
You are saying "Cubs" to refer to teams of a decade ago. 100% meaningless. Not a single remaining player, coach or management. 100% new. They brought in clutch guys with rings like Lester.

This will be like the people who jerked off to that roid taking midget pacquiao to beat Floyd. Only to find out when the bells rings he's drawing dead and never had a chance to begin with.
That was my biggest bet of the year, but this cards series bet will surpass that wager easily if the line is what you think it will be.
I respect you, and this is why I currently have a 13 inch hard-on under my desk. I really hope you're right.

Fuk that figures
Just ruined my hopes.
Cards will be big favs here.
If Arrieta was going 1 & 5 it would be a whole diff scenario.

Don't worry, man. I know the oddsmakers. I promise you won't have to lay more than -130 TOPS.
In fact, points bet right now I'll give you -130. I take +130. You got points?

Nah no points. Cashed an amazon gift card recently. I'm sure 5Dimes has a line out by now or if not will shortly.

Dude I get what your saying however I wouldn't put my hard money on a club that hasn't won a WS since 1903. They very well could beat the Cards but to win a WS,no I don't buy that.

Should be unanimous.
Gotta love the guy.
Always gets the most out of his players and most of all, gets them to believe.
Still not beating the Cards though.
