    He is ok but not a real feared hitter. He might be worth like 5 million a year tops. Baseball players are so over paid.

      He is a notorious slow starter. He is still one of the top 3 all around first basemen in baseball.

                              Same old story. A guy signs a mega contract and then does what the higher ups tell him to do and that is to lay his bat down when his team is heavily bet. Goes on in all sports. What is amazing is we have guy betting over the age of 30 who still can't see it even tho it is right in front of their face.

                                Hes ten times better than this whole forum but thats about it.

                                  so they paid him 160 million so that they could throw games? which game has he thrown? guys have bad games all the time. even the best hitter are out over 65% of the time

                                    There are better stats than batting average. And Pujols is clearly better than Texeira in almost all of them. But that really isn't a knock on Texiera.
