Philadelphia has owned Washington of late, as the Phils have gone 6-3 the last 2 season's in DC, and are 26-12 overall against the Nationals since the 2007 season.

Shairon Martis is picking up where he left off last season, as the righty went 1-3 in limited action for the Nats last season, with an almost 6 ERA, as he allowed 3 runs in just 3 innings of work against Atlanta in a no decision.

Look for the Phillies to pepper Mathis, and the rest of the Washington staff, as they keep the Nationals winless for the year.

I was thinking the same thing.

As for the Padres....I just don't like the matchup against the Mets. I am admittedly a Mets homer, but I follow every guy from A to the Majors, and they have enough offensive talent to hang a big number on the Padres if they can get to the BP before the 8th/9th. I also know that the Padres struggle to score....so that makes me hesitate putting money on them, even with Peavy going.

Just saw a posting by CK regarding line movement on this game and he is reasoning the same way as he did for the Yankee game...line moving opposite with public heavy on opposing side, meaning this is a no play for the Phillies. From what I have seen so far from this guy, I will probably lay off playing the Phillies on the ML. I do like kmarinouofm's bet on the over for the Phillies as it does coincide with my write up on shairon.

I don't get it, this was suppose to be a lock. How could you lose to the INDIANS. How do you give up 9 runs l0l in one inninng!!! Anyone notice the underdogs seem to be winning most of the time even when their ON THE ROAD. Atlanta loss too which is suprising, if the LA Dodgers lose today against the SF Giants baseball is rigged.
