Alameda man charged with 2 gambling debt murders

A supermarket manager in Alameda had been charged with the murders of two friends with whom he apparently had gambling debts. Police say 20-year-old Andrew Wong, an assistant night manager at Safeway, fatally shot the two men less than a year apart.

Prosecutors charged him Monday with two counts of murder with special circumstances of multiple homicides, killing during a burglary and killing during a robbery.

Police say Wong killed 52-year-old David Wells, a bakery deliveryman, in a parking lot on July 31, then killed 36-year-old Quang Quach, a Safeway co-worker, on April 3 at the victim's house.

Investigators believe Wong owed Quach $5,000 from sporting event bets; it's unclear how much he owed Wells.

Wong has been held in an Alameda County jail since his arrest Thursday night.

2 dead guys and one fixin to serve a life sentence/death penalty all for a few thousand bucks

Now we'll spend a million dollars prosecuting this pile of shit only to give him a life sentence which will cost the taxpayers another 40k/year for the rest of his life just to keep him alive in a cage

Why cant all the California cops that shoot ppl for no reason get assigned to arrest guys like this and just unload a clip into him and be done with it
