You heard it hear first gents... I predict 14-6 next 20 games. The guy who is fading the Yanks will be done by All Star break.

The problem of course is that with lines on the Yankees like I'm looking at right now (around -210), they almost have to go 14-6 every 20 games just to keep their bettors above water. It wouldn't kill faders; it would just cost them a couple units.
But okay, their lines aren't going to be -210 for every game.
To my way of thinking, the whole thing about fading really doesn't have much to do with if a team is capable of going on a tear, but whether the lines are inflated. I believe they are in the Yankees' case. Even if these Yankees do appear to be a .700 team for the long run, their lines will only get that much more bloated.
I personally am not doing an auto-fade on any team but if I was going to try it, the Yankees would be the team.

Very good points Mud Cat... Even if they win 110 games (unlikely) with the average line -160 - -220, it will be hard to turn a solid profit. The best value is going to be in the road games when CC is not pitching... I would not auto-fade them but I am definitely going to spot play.
14-6 next 20 games who wants to make a friendly bet on this?

I have never been embarrassed to be a Yankee's fan until today. They have been BLOWN THE F OUT twice in one week. This is pathetic...

1989-1992 were probably the worst (in recent memory).
I'm going to fade them more than not for the next few weeks.
