It's depressing seeing people like Paul Newman get old and die in a sick bed surrounded by family with his boots off.You want to see a guy like that go out in a blaze of glory probably rolling his race car.

Same thing with hardcore hell raisers I know that get old.Why die in a nursing home spilling pablum on your bib.Buy a $150 old beater and hit a utility pole drunk like you got away with 8 other times in your life.You want to be the reason 20 thousand people went without power on Super Bowl Sunday.Use your 9th life to make a statement going out in style.

It's kind of neat when you hear an old fart like Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas die in the broadcast booth right before the game started.Did anyone here listen to the broadcast?Must have been one weird atmosphere in the booth.

Brent, this was the only good thing about Kalas' death, that he was there doing what he loved and what he did best. But I'm confused by HooHoo's answer, is this dying at what you do best or what you love to do most? If it's the former, then I hope to take that last breath tending the earth in a garden, either that or shaking a martini. If it's the latter, then I'm with Hoo, hope my obit reads, "William Wyatt Bee, age ??, died in a hotel room in Singapore with two 18-year-old prostitutes in his arms."
