Whats up fellas, Flip checking in from the oreo factory.

Today is Saturday August 8th and yet another weekend of golf where Dustin Johnson is in contention at the top of the leaderboard at a big golf tournament. Playig upon past results and recent weekend failures I am going to have to take a stab with my man Bubba Watson who also plays big off the tee as a short dog, coming off shooting a low 66 round.

I also like Sergio Garcia today over Jason Day. Sergios scorecard has been all over the place, he even had a quadruple bogey on 16 day 1 but he has 12 birdies tallied compared to Day's 6. Sergio will look to move into contention today while Jason Day will be looking to rally again into contention after finishing 1st at the Canadian Open last week. Hard to bet against day but today is one of those "days" that I will, no pun intended. Sergio just looks sharper, if he can avoid the blow up he should cruise.

I looked and looked last night and could only think that I still wish I had Dustin Johnson and Jum Furyk was +240 at 5 Dimes. That seemed like a good bet. I'm afraid of those big names like Day, Johnson, Furyk etc. And the way they are listed on some boards makes me question.

This is a run up to next week, then adding a few more names. In the end I passed again and maybe can call out a winner tonight, hopefully there will be decent odds.

Lots of hopeful and maybes.

Between tonight, next week, and the following week, I think we'll find and opening.

I see Rose is starting off good, he's all I have right now.

Watson playing real well on the front 9, need him to stay the course and for Sergio to start making some birds. 12 through first 2 rounds, even par through 9 today.

Actually, looking back, I noticed there is one, but only one, market metric I use that put Merritt in a potential win or near the top on Sunday situation. The payout for him in that market was so ridiculously high it wasn't even considered...

Looking at the board before the tournament I can see Furyk in the same "bubble" that Merritt fell into last week.

I think Furyk is a sucker bet taking everyone for a ride.

I will likely counter Furyk if he is favored to win tonight. Some houses will give us Furyk vs. the field...my thoughts right now are the field.

I'll update that thinking when that thinking gets updated.
