#38Uh, Mickey Mantle .Originally posted by pavyracerChipper Jones. He could hit from both sides of plate. Barry Bonds was not amphibious.
However, I am not sure how good a swimmer he was.

#50His fielding and clean play and ability to take less less money in Cincy puts him up there, but he doesn't crack the top 20. Possibly boarderline, but we don't know who's clean and who played dirty.Originally posted by JeffieWhere do you guys put Ken Griffey Jr. Top 20?Comment -

#51I'll give a hitter that's not the best ever, but if you needed a clutch hit or play in general, George Brett was the man. I'm not a Royals fan, but this guy gets overlooked plenty.Comment -

#62Just for fun I will join debate. I'm a bases history buff and LOVE it! But I never saw Hornsby, Ruth, Mantle, Williams , etc play myself so gonna stick with what I know and saw. Gotta go Brett , Gwynn , Bonds , Boggs, Griffey Jr (who had sweeeeeetest swing ever). Guess that's my list but this goes a long way with me. We all know how dominant those top 3 Bravo hurlers were in 90's who are now in hof. They all struggled against and said Tony G was a bitch of an out! Rip TG

#66Well if you know anything about history of bases many were on uppers or amphetamines. The steroids of "their" day I guess. And steroids didn't just come about in 90's they been around awhile now lol. Love how some guys want to romanticize old days of sports. Back then maybe they didn't test as much or give a fukk. But cheating been around in many forms since the beginning of time. Anyone who's dumb enough to talk shit on T Brady or Bonds etc these days. Do some reading I suggest lol

#68One reason it's such a "huge" deal now honestly is because of sites like this and stations like espn who want to keep dumb gums flapping and fingers typing with moronic endless debates. Heard a guy on sports radio wk back or so from a sports "science" squad yeah one of those. He said deflating the balls would have zero impact basically from Brady throwing it, to receivers catching it , or fumbles with every conceivable test. And why the league even has the psi rule is another asinine argument.
Believe who you want it doesn't matter and real truth probably somewhere in middle. Get a kick out people these days getting bent outta shape over cheating in sports. Yeah cause it just started primarily in 90's....lol dumb fukks Smh.Bottom line it's good for biz and keeps gums controlled by empty minds flapping endlessly.Comment -

#69I've always maintained and truly believe if ever the holy grail bible of cheating were ever released with true admissions from a long line of players going back decades....I'm talking spill your guts on grandkids lives type shit and tell truth. There are SO many stories out there now already but let's get em all and in 1 book.
Grown men everywhere would be weeping like little bitches over there heroes and pu$$y pc establishment would be ripping their hair out trying to figure out what #'s do we subtract or pull outta the books to make it right? Lol fukking fairies
We've recently had Jerry Rice talk about stickem, A Rodgers did EXACT same as Brady is accused of but favors the ov to the un. We choose to flame Brady why cause he got caught "supposedly". Makes zero sense to me other than fact people choose to hate Brady cause he's a winner and we don't wike him haha .
