lacking a solid, sound strategy -- walking around casinos in a half-drunken coors light stupor trying random games and betting obscure horse races is not a strategy -- is the best way to blow a bankroll......

but if you're going to, at least get on the i phone apps that literally tell you what slot machines are hitting/going to hit..... some casino slot managers have real-time blogs telling players what machines are hitting, to bring traffic in.....

my wife used one on our last trip, and I followed the mgr's advice and hit a $3,300 Quick Hit slot in my first seven mins playing...
