if jose aldo didn't exist mendes would be the undefeated champ. i realize that, however if you were dana white, wouldn't you sit mendes down and have a talk? let's face it, aldo is mendes' kryptonite. mendes knows this so why not pay the guy several million to throw the fight?

Well give chad this every time he fights Aldo he looks better he was doing okay till he got caught in the first one the 2nd one he just came up "short" no pun 3rd time could be the charm. Going to be interesting Conor for sure hasn't fought anybody with chads ability or wrestling credentials who has chad fought with Conor's fluidity and striking ability outside of Aldo which is way different. exactly Miri. I could watch them fight every night. I think Franky got fuked tho. I thought Dana made a mistake here and didn't make Frankie the next up. Mendes has big power which Frankie does not. Might have been a little easier for Connor to stay away from that takedown knowing ur not gonna get ur head blasted off. Conner could have gone five with Frankie a lot easier than five with Mendes. Of course when going five the judges could do what they want with the decision.

Not sure. He protected him long enough.

I look at it like Bisping. UFc protected him just enough to consider him a contender, yet when he faced elite wrestlers he sucked ass. H-Bomb rings a bell there. I see UFC doing the same for Mac, if he loses to Mendes, they'll hand feed him 3 wins and reamp him as a contender.

Mendes however can no doubt knock Mcg out cold, or crank is head off in a gulliotine. On the flipside, Mcg has a lot greater chance to KO Mendes, as he rushes in way more wild than Frankie, and his setups are a lot worse.

A second Frankie fight would likely also be a better option than a third Mendes fight, just from a PPV perspective, even though the Mendes fight would likely be a better fight, but they fought so close to each other.
