You are half correct. Better than Cruz. Kasich is still viable if Rubio implodes again at a debate. Kasich is also still viable as a compromise guy at a brokered convention, but so is Mitt.

Who would go from Bush to Trump, think again rationally this time though Bush's average
of 6 to 7 % in the first 3 primaries isn't exactly a coup for anyone.
Realize that Bush got almost all his support from the moderate wing of the party so
how could you estimate that Cruz would get even 2% of that vote.

In the NH primary the breakdown of moderate republican vote was as follows:

Self Identified Moderate Republicans-
TRUMP- 32%
and he does
BUSH- 20%
KASICH- 18%
RUBIO-17%
CARSON-6%
CRUZ-4%

There are similarities in the SC exit polls although they are preliminary;
They always say the moderate race is between Bush, Kasich & Rubio but
they never say that Trump gets more moderate votes than all the moderates
& he does, he won every county in SC even the ones Romney won in 2012.
Maybe because Trump was the guy who made Bush's life miserable Bush's
core supporters do hate Trump if so Trump I feel will split Bush's support
in the following way.

mitt was a great candidate, just wasn't saying the right things then he completely lost any ground he had during the second debate which obama was shown to be clearly a liar. Kasich is my boy on the Repub side, but he's not doing very good. If I was to have a choice when Kasich drops out,
