#4975Cruz is Canadian born and he won't win... Can't vote in a Canadian born American President..
Trump will work that angle and bury Cruz as that is already starting to happen now.... Canadian politicians are notoriously known to be Liberal as well...

#4985-150 where? He's around even money at most shops and around 45% in prediction markets. He's not at his peak. He was a bigger favorite before Iowa and bigger just after NH. Rubio cratered after NH, but is moving back up.Comment -

#4987No matter what you think of Trump have to admit this is funny. Jeb Bush's web site jebbush.com redirects to Trump's website and he's keeping it that way.

#4988Gotta love the irony here in that the media have spent decades dumbing down the people who are mostly regular idiot box viewers and now Donald comes along and resonates with the same substanceless crowd who the media spent decades controlling and the media, well they arent happy to say the least but it seems as though Donald is one guy they cant seem to manipulate and the harder the establishment tries to disenfranchise the guy the popular he seems to become...
Gotta hand it to supreme leader here. He's playing the media harder than i play overweight88 on the forum....
Doesn't change the fact he's still a douchenozzle but more a reflection on American people in general and how little substance must go through their monds on a daily basis thanks to decades of media manipulation and being told what and how to think...Comment -

#4990Yeah this is exactly right. You guys can name call all you want. There is a reason Trump has come out of nowhere and now commands massive leads in the polls. You guys on the other side have no arguments or rationale, just name calling. We got New Hampshire and Saturday night we get South Carolina. Trump might run away with this real quick. Its going to be interesting to see all the Trump bashers switch sides when its Trump vs. Hillary.Comment -

Trump leads with every group imaginable, take a look at Cruz status
with moderates, last of all candidates still running at 4%. This Cruz
is a one trick pony he holds his own among conservative republicans
only slightly behind Trump in that regard but is so far behind everyone
with moderate republicans that he's unelectable. Of course this is an outlier

If you really think Cruz has a chance in S Carolina he's such a longshot that 20 on Cruz will get you 190.
Just because Trump is -1800 to win SC & I usually bet on underdogs here goes:
Rubio to be 2nd ahead of Cruz, just a little to make it interesting. As a Trump supporter I'm far more worried
about Rubio than Cruz

#4999Bottom line is that poll hasn't moved any lines anywhere....When every other poll is saying one thing you gotta figure that it doesn't mean shit when nothing else in the market moves or agrees
You guys really think that hack Cruz has jumped Trump? I literally don't know one Ted Cruz supporter.....every single person, Republican, Democrat, Independent all call him a creep and a liar and just generally don't like the guy. Anyone else notice that in their daily lives? How many people like Cruz that you know? I know plenty of Trump, Rubio, Sanders and Hilary people but Cruz is universally hated. Lots of people also don't take Jeb seriously and they all seem to think Kasich and Carson are OK but no one actually has him as their main guy (VP material for them)
I'm honestly stunned that Cruz has lingered around this long....If he somehow won the nomination he would be absolutely destroyed in a national election as he appeals to nobody and doesn't have a great personality for that kind of thing to attract moderates or steal anyone from the other side. Worse than anyone else the Republicans offer on a national levelLast edited by MoneyLineDawg; 02-18-16, 12:35 AM.Comment -

#5000I think it's pretty evident that, short of some sort of wacky brokered convention candidate, it's going to be either Trump or Rubio. I think if SC knocks Jeb and Carson out, Rubio will get a boost. Kasich will hang on through Super Tuesday and then bow out. What could very well happen is a slight Trump lead heading into convention but not enough to win. Cruz's delegates could move to Rubio.Comment -

You can bet on that 100% as he owes nothing to the Republican Party and is Independent at heart.
So they have to tread carefully and decide whether they want Dems or Trump.......If Rubio wins convincingly in the end they better hope that Trump agrees that is was 100% on the level or its over for themComment -

#5002That would be the only way Trump loses, but if he feels he got screwed over in any way he's going to run independent to fukk them over

100% on the mark. Cruz is kind of creepy and a drama queen. I hate to hear Cruz talk he uses that 'and I will note'
for dramatic effect. I know no-one supporting him. It;s either Trump or Rubio. The last candidate I couldn't
stand listening to was Fiorina Cruz is just as irritating.Comment -

#5004The Republican Convention is late July. That is too late to begin an independent run. Many states deadlines to get on the ballot will have already passed. Just not feasible. He could raise all hell, we know Trump isn't always bound by reality, but he can't make a serious indep run starting after the convention. Republicans bigger worry would be turning off his people so that they stay home or vote D. If there is a legit way to avoid Trump as nominee in the end, they will take it. If nobody has enough on first vote, a brokered convention is legit.
Realistically, he'd have to do it by March.
