I've actually done this a few times.

I've got a friend that works on the live chat, and last weekend I left my cell phone at home, so pulled into a gas station and called in a point bet with someone on staff.

It wasn't a big deal, I just gave him my username, password, and told him how many points I needed to get down.

The call costs me $.75. The bet was for 6 betpoints. It ended up winning, so well worth it.
