Captured prison escapee David Sweat is back in a maximum security prison for the first time in nearly a month, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Sweat, 35, was released from Albany Medical Center early Sunday morning and brought to Five Points Correctional Facility in Romulus, New York.

"Agents verbally ordered Richard Matt to put his hands up. An agent observed the individual fail to comply with the verbal commands and aim what was later determined to be a 20-gauge shotgun at him. The agent discharged his service-issued M-4 rifle, striking the individual, who died at the scene."

An autopsy shows Matt was killed by three shots to the head, according to the New York State Police.
