this isn't right. they should add in a clause that says he has to shoot at least 70% from the line. the guy is too one dimensional to get the max. also, he's lucky that greedy jew sterling's no longer the owner.
can't believe the clips are gonna offer deandre jordan max contract...

#13people love to point to his FT %. Sweet, he doesn't shoot well at the FT line, almost every center is the same. Deandre is the worst of them but who gives a shit about his FT %. He is #1 in FG %, #1 in rebounding, is an absolute beast on defense. I'm not saying he's absolutely a max contract guy, but he's worth a ton. At least $15 mill a year. You could put Deandre on another team and he would be a Demarcus Cousins type player, but he's got Griffin and CP3 so he takes a back seat on offense.
But, he is a monster. He can't make his FTs? Big deal - he rebounds, makes his field goals, sets great picks, is a fantastic defender. Really not much more you can want in a big man.Comment -

#14"Makes his field goals"... Have you ever watched the dude play? All his "field goals" are dunks, most of them being created by Blake and CP3.Originally posted by gregmav1people love to point to his FT %. He could absolutely not be Demarcus Cousins on another team. He has no post game and even if he had one you could just foul him and send him to the line. Cousins is a very good free throw shooter which is a big part of what makes him such a force on offense.Comment -

#15lol demarcus cousins. demarcus cousins is 100x better on offense. he's just a lazy defender.
if jordan had demarcus cousins offensive skills then he'd be a max player no doubt but with his lack of offense, he's a waste in cap space imo.Comment -

#18Agree with some of this but he is not a tremendous defender. 40 year old Tim Duncan was scoring at will inside in multiple games in that series. He is a great rebounder and makes dunks, but other than that he is average to poor in everything else. Also, when he goes up against elite centers his rebound total drops off significantlyOriginally posted by gregmav1people love to point to his FT %.
