There's no use arguing this because it will just keep going back and forth. You have your view and I have mine. So, if you really think that Benson is NOT getting lit up, is he pitching a good game? haha..wierdo..well that explains why you know nothing about baseball. Too busy traveling around the world. As for my education, I have a masters degree and I am currently working on my doctorate. I wager on sports as a hobby because I have a good enough job where I make enough money to play. Im not always in front of the computer and I have the right to mispell words if I choose too. 2 runs in 5 innings is not bad but you're just basing that on the fact IF Salty did not make an error and Young was able to field the grounder and start the DP. However, what if the 2B threw wide of 1B? The inning would still be alive. What if Cruz fielded the ball cleanly? The inning still isn't over. You still have to make pitches to get outs. That's it. I like how you feel that a pitcher should just continue to make good pitches to get out of innings when his defense has given the other team extra outs ... as anyone who watches baseball knows, however, when a team is given extra outs in two of the first four innings (and an extra base in the third inning) solely because of the defense, bad things will happen to even the best of pitchers.Comment
